Explore and learn a diverse array of subjects—from hands-on therapies and electrotherapies to biomechanics and rehabilitation—with our acclaimed, industry-recognized Integrated Masters program, designed to elevate your career in a rapidly evolving industry. <br/><br/>Our four-year course includes a year of Masters-level study, leading to the MVetPhys qualification. It’s the first MVetPhys in the UK accredited by the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP).<br/><br/>As a student in Writtle, you’ll get practical, hands-on experience in specialist facilities including our equine and canine therapy centres.<br/><br/>Your studies will involve both large and companion animals, with a particular focus on horses and dogs.<br/><br/>Youll be taught by highly qualified and experienced veterinary physiotherapists and veterinary surgeons.<br/><br/>Our veterinary surgeons help to teach subjects such as anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. Meanwhile, our veterinary physiotherapists, who have extensive experience in equine hydrotherapy and canine rehabilitation, will be lecturing in rehabilitation, remedial exercise programmes and electrotherapy.<br/><br/>As a graduate, you can apply to be a fully registered veterinary physiotherapist.<br/><br/>You’ll also be able to join the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners (RAMP) and the Animal Health Professions Register (AHPR).<br/><br/>In order to progress on the Veterinary Physiotherapy degree, you’ll need to obtain a 50% overall stage average at first attempt and pass your OSPE (practical exams) in years 1 and 2. If you don’t achieve these marks, you’ll be integrated into our BSc (Hons) Animal Therapy degree.<br/><br/>In Year 3 of your Veterinary Physiotherapy degree, you’ll need to achieve 55% overall stage average at first attempt to progress to Year 4.<br/><br/>You’ll be awarded MVetPhys Veterinary Physiotherapy if all academic and clinical components are passed. If the clinical component is not passed but the academic elements are, you will be awarded an MAnimTher Animal Therapy.<br/><br/>If you join the Animal Therapy degree initially, you may have the opportunity to move on to this MVetPhys course at the end of your first year. To do this, you’ll need to achieve a 50% overall stage average and get a pass in both the equine and canine OSPE (practical exams).
