You’ll cover a unique balance of key analytical subjects, management and professional skills, ensuring that youre well-equipped to face challenging engineering situations in industry.<br/><br/>Youll discover the structure and properties of a range of materials, learn structural design, learn how to perform tests, interpret scientific information, explore mathematical concepts and their use in engineering, and the laws and theories you need to apply electricity to your engineering solutions. Gain an understanding of analogue and digital signals and learn why vibration can be such a problem in mechanical engineering systems.<br/><br/>Learn the C++ programming language, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), with a view to conducting research, obtaining test data, building FEA and CFD models, and validating your results from case studies.<br/><br/>Explore, improve, design and build mechatronics systems and products using specialist software packages; assessing feasibility, creating/sourcing the required CAD files, performing FEA and CFD tests, and creating and fully testing your prototype.<br/><br/>Gain an understanding of the concerns of engineers today, including environmental, sustainability and ethical issues, safety, commercial and legal considerations, and quality standards.<br/><br/>Studying mechatronics and robotics equips you with high-demand skills in automation, control systems, and robotics, opening career paths in fast-growing sectors like renewable energy, automotive, and modern technology.
