Come and work with renowned subject specialists in the field of environmental sustainability education and research and gain expertise that will set you apart in the jobs market.<br/><br/>Alongside academic knowledge, you’ll build practical experience through volunteering, collaborative work and community engagement.<br/><br/>On our BA (Hons) Education with Sustainability, you’ll critically engage with key topics to understand the influence of environmental sustainability in different educational settings. <br/><br/>Gain a grounding in the historical and future development and progression of environmental sustainability education (ESE) in policy and practice. Explore theories on outdoor learning, place-responsive teaching and creative pedagogies, and conduct research on these approaches.<br/><br/>Discover global perspectives on environmental justice in education, including eco-feminism, the Anthropocene and systems thinking, and consider how these affect policy and practice in education across local, national and transnational scales.<br/><br/><strong>Careers</strong><br/><br/>Youll gain specialisms in environmental sustainability, including outdoor learning, place-responsive pedagogy, conservation education, and environmental justice opening doors to a wide range of sectors.<br/><br/>You could work in education in schools, FE colleges, environmental charities, zoological/botanical attractions and museums, or in policy making/research nationally or transnationally.<br/><br/>You could also continue your studies with a PGCE or other teacher training, or an MA Education, which can lead to work in academic research and teaching.<br/><br/><strong>What can you do with an Education with Sustainability degree?</strong><br/><br/>With further training you could progress to teaching, leadership or other roles within the education sector. You may choose to work in policy, charitable, research or leadership roles or train future educators.<br/><br/>You might continue on to a Masters course, such as a PGCE or one of our MA Education degrees, which include options to specialise in leadership and management, SEND, and Montessori settings.
