It is not just about money, the stock market and banking. It also gives you a set of tools to help you understand a whole range of different issues such as obesity, competition in sports leagues, and crime to name a few.

Our economics teaching team includes six winners of national teaching awards, the authors of the one of the best-selling economics textbooks, and established researchers who bring up-to-date expertise to the curriculum. Two members of the teaching team have also acted as assessors at graduate recruitment sessions for the Government Economic Service (GES). This gives you a unique opportunity to learn from people who have an input into the hiring decisions of the largest employer of economists in the UK.

**Key course benefits**

- **Recognised for quality** – Aston Business School is proud to be among 1% of business schools worldwide with triple accreditation

- **Professionally accredited** – This programme leads to accreditation or exemptions from several professional bodies, including ACCA, CIMA and CII

- **Gold standard teaching** – Aston University was awarded Gold – the highest possible rating for the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF, 2023)

- **Excellent prospects** – Aston University was named runner-up in the University of the Year for Graduate Employment Award (Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide)

- **Earn more** – Our graduates are among the highest paid in the country, earning on average £36,100 five years after graduating (Longitudinal Education Outcomes, 2023)

- **Safe in our hands** – Ranked 25th in the UK for graduate prospects - outcomes (Complete University Guide, 2024)

**Course details**

**Modules**
For more information on this course and a full list of modules, visit the course page: https://www.aston.ac.uk/study/courses/economics-bsc

**Assessment method**
For more information on the methods of assessment on this course, visit the course page: https://www.aston.ac.uk/study/courses/economics-bsc
