This Business and Management course is founded on real-life consultancy and will give you the skills to help people feel supported and valued in the workplace and the tools to manage them effectively. Youll study the theories and concepts that go into effective HR management and the support structures that underpin a happy working environment.<br/><br/>Youll cover topics such as ethical practice in recruitment and management, and study current thinking in diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Youll explore new strategies for making the business environment an equitable and enjoyable space to work.<br/><br/>By working in a consultancy capacity with brands such as Butlins, Oracle and Dorothy House, youll be able to apply your knowledge in the real-world. Youll identify existing problems and propose strategies to solve them. When you graduate youll be able to take your learning to the world of work as an effective people manager and team player.<br/><br/>**More about the Professional Placement Year**<br/>A Professional Placement Year (PPY), traditionally known as a sandwich year, is where you undertake a period of work with an external organisation for between 9-13 months. The placement occurs between your second and final years of undergraduate study. You can engage in up to 3 placements to make up the total time and are required to source the placement(s) yourself, with support from the Careers team.
