Media Studies, Year 2

Really really good!! I met lots of people in freshers week which made it less overwhelming. Very pleasant!. The library is just what I needed and the sports areas are perfect for my needs, I felt very motivated with such great facilities. They didn’t make me feel too out of my comfort zone and they made sense to me. All the lectures were very helpful and I’m so thankful for all of the staff. Absolutely great. That it’s important to read around the subject

Social Policy / Social Work, Year 2

Interesting and refreshing! A new environment, but a perfect transition! I accommodate from home, however many have told me how convenient they are and it's a good environment, not only for independence but to also make friends! Amazing! Very easy to access, supportive and accommodate to your needs, highly recommend Only speaking the truth, I've never had lecturers so good and supportive. Could not achieve my best without them! Enjoyable, so much to do in Birmingham.

Uneventful. There wasn't really much going on at the university and I don't party. I stayed at home and commutes out to uni. Excellent. Can't fault. State of the art tech and amazing libraries!! The interactive in sessions and the level of feedback from lecturers. There's something for everyone. Amazing night life and places to eat & socialise.

Freshers week

(5)·By Anisah M·English Studies· Jun 2023
Freshers’ week made me feel welcome to join Univeristy. It is an opportunity for you to make friends with people at your university and get to know the people you are studying with. You may be feeling a little nervous about being around new people but that’s perfectly understandable. Your friends from school or college may have all gone to different parts of the country for their university experience. You have an opportunity to grow your network and keep in touch with friends that you have had for years. Fresher’s week also have many clubs and societies that you can sign up to, and there is usually something for everyone, whether you are into sports, arts, or something else. For me it was the Arts and English Literature clubs. The fresher’s week at Univeristies allows you to find what the university has to offer at the freshers’ fair, or at your student union.

Nursing, Third Year

I love my university - it feels like one big family. It has lots of amazing facilities at the faculty of health campus which helps those studying health courses get a real feel for what it is like out there on placements in the hospital. The staff are dedicated and truly believe in their students - there is never a moment where you don't feel somebody believes in you.

Really good, really enjoyed it and they made it easy to help people socialise. I don’t stay in accommodation but from the looks of friends and their stories it seems really good. Not enough space to socialise. They are very in depth. Lecturers are really easy to get along with. I already live here and love it. It’s not as easy as you think. It requires a lot of work outside of uni hours
