What Will I Study?

This course provides a strong foundation for careers in early years and primary education, focusing on pedagogy, play, child development, wellbeing and learning. You'll develop professional skills in communication, presentation and working effectively with children, families and colleagues. Through exploring themes such as sustainability, safeguarding, emotional wellbeing and children's roles within families and communities, you'll gain a deeper understanding of how children learn and develop. The course also prepares you for a range of careers in education, childhood services, social care, community work and youth support, while developing transferable skills and providing a strong foundation for further study, including a PGCE.
