Shared First Year

Your first year brings you together with students from our Aviation and Investigation pathways, giving you a solid grounding in global security theory, structured analytical methods, and cyber-risk fundamentals. At the end of your first year, you will get the opportunity to change your course if you have enjoyed this aspect and you want to.

Flexible Study Options

This course is available as either a full-time degree at our High Wycombe campus or a fully online distance learning programme. Both study modes deliver the same qualification and core content, allowing you to choose the option that best fits your circumstances while developing the knowledge, skills and professional confidence required for careers in the intelligence and security sectors.

What Will I Study?

You'll develop a strong foundation in global security, information security and intelligence analysis before progressing to specialist areas such as strategic intelligence, financial intelligence and advanced analytical techniques. The course explores how intelligence supports risk management across national and international contexts, while developing skills in communication, briefing, decision-making and professional practice. In your final year, you'll complete an independent research project focused on an area aligned with your interests and career ambitions.
