Facilities
You'll study in dedicated fashion and textile studios equipped with industry-standard facilities and specialist equipment. Resources include fabric and yarn stores, screen-printing facilities, dye laboratories, sewing and garment production spaces, and digital design technologies.
You'll have your own studio workspace and access to specialist technicians who can support your practical development. Opportunities may also be available to collaborate with students in photography, film, television, performance and hair and make-up, helping you develop your portfolio and professional network.
What Will I Study?
This course explores the creative and technical aspects of textile design, with a focus on print, knit and surface design. Through design-led projects, you'll develop skills in research, drawing, colour, material exploration and technical processes while refining your individual creative direction.
You'll experiment with a range of traditional and digital approaches, including CAD, trend forecasting, material development and specialist textile techniques. The course is designed to develop the creative, technical and professional skills sought by employers, helping you graduate with a portfolio that reflects your specialist interests and ambitions.
