Heritage MA

Our MA Heritage offers a unique opportunity for those hoping to build a career in the heritage sector from the heart of a World Heritage Site.<br/><br/>We offer an innovative course which will train you in new digital skills relating to interpretation and heritage management, whilst also providing you with an awareness of the heritage sector that will allow you to develop as a practitioner for a range of careers.<br/><br/>Our core modules will consider how the legacy of studying heritage has direct links to inequalities in society today (considering colonialism, Empire, hidden histories among other themes) as well as the notion of heritage management practices as ‘world making and future assembling’ with the capacity to ‘assemble radically different futures’ (Heritage Futures, 2020).<br/><br/>You will be able to select modules from a wide range of options that will offer you routes into specialising in archaeology, tourism, education, or historical studies, developing and tailoring your skillset towards a specific career path.
