Art and design, Year 1
So far, this uni is great, the support from the teachers is fantastic and I love the modules for the Year 1. Also, the benefits of living in a small city are great and the nightlife and culture mix is really welcoming.

Fun, it had an underwater theme. One night had a bowling alley and pizza booked out for us. Lots of local companies were invited to freshers fair and I won art pencils Poor student accommodation rented from another local arts college. New student accommodation still being built, but its set to be a huge increase in rent. Great. Lots of workshops, printing facilities and a photographic dark room. The student union are active and keep students updated over Instagram. Lots of practical lessons, as well as off campus experience. Range of module tutors which gives a diverse teaching style. Hereford is a small city, very Conservative and upper class. Lots of empty stores, don't recommend it.

Fine Art, Year 3
Pretty good provided a lot of different activities suiting people who enjoyed drinking and people who didn't. Also provided many chances for socialising and meeting new people. Quite expensive. Mainly private landlords as the halls hasn't been built yet. Was meant to be finished by September 2020 Very good. Provide a lot of artists workshops facilities to calibrate with different courses. Library has great staff willing to help with anything. Very hands on. Even with online classes due to COVID the tutors work very hard to make the lessons work with online limits Good size. Balance of natural and urban spaces. Providing good variety of chain and local shops.

There were a few small activities on campus like printing freshers T-shirt's and team building but no “typical” freshers night outs really A very small freshers fair with little to no curation to student interests Only one hallsbuilding at the time which was quite old and had some issues regarding maintenance but because it was divided into floors of people rather than flats of five or six it was much more sociable than other halls I have witnessed Good range of facilities that allow you to work across a variety of different disciplines regardless of course Easily accessible course leaders. If you had a question they would try to help you. The group sizes are generally small so it really feels like everyone gets enough contact time Quieter city than most but enough night life to keep it interesting. Once you know the hot spots it's just like living in a bigger city

Uni was great, all the staff were friendly and welcoming. Site is gorgoeus in itself.
Course quality left a lot to be desired and was more entry level

Pretty bad I'm not going to lie it's a tiny uni and a very small city Worst accommodation I didn't even have a wardrobe or a shower door Good facilities Hours upon hours of workshop access Councillor available on site Small uni means the tutors are always available for a tutorial and the discussion in lectures is stimulating Loud, but I guess there's louder cities than Hereford Also there's ALWAYS food

I found freshers to be interesting with a little odd of a theme. I would say the theme let the structure down. However plenty of events available. Used private landlord. He wasn't great. Accommodation itself ok. Good facilities. Easy to find. Helpful staff. Happy to help. Explained well. Easy to follow. Wouldn't say city life. Pretty average. Not that busy.
