Art & Design, Year 1
the facilities are fairly new and teachers clearly like their subjects, they offer most courses and allows and have great facilities, from bricklaying to academics and create subjects. ie, film studious, music production
they have clearly worked on a lower budget than others may have, but the they are more focused on academics than any other aspect, classrooms seem mirrored to one another, other than the more creative subjects that may require specific environments, for example, film studios, with camers, or rooms for recording sound for music production
The teachers clearly know their subjects well and enjoy them, the vast majority have experience in their industries and a clear pssion for what they teach, they are knowledgeable aswell, although i find they need a stronger and more motivated class to push them aswell, as teaching unpassionate students is hard
city life is adequate, its not a big town and therefore suffers from having only a few clubs, this is not a big issue as they will do and the main strip has plenty of food joints with good prices, day time shopping is good it doesent really lack anything nice amount of shops
I think there enough courses too satisfy if you are unsure what you want to study, and would like to try others, also plenty of open days that allow you to try many courses, im not goimg to lie, if i was in the same position again i would look further and try other places, its not big compared to many others and you can tell they do not try to compete
. the teaching staff treat you as an individual and give you loads of individual support.

Criminology, Year 1
The accommodation at the Herefordshire and Ludlow College was prestigious and immaculate. There was a double bed with an en-suit along with a desk and plenty of wordrobe space. I shared a kitchen and lounge area with the other students studying there and it was always clean and tidy!
The classrooms were up to date with the latest technology and IT systems, had plenty of resources to aid me with my study like the huge library. The staff there were incredibly friendly and helpful and would always over a hand finding anything I was looking for. There as also a gym full of the latest and greatest equipment to give you a break from all the studying.
The Criminology course I was studying was very good as it was planned and organised into lots of lectures and talks and also some online so I could study it in my room if I didn’t feel like glowing to the lectures themselves. The course that I studied at college has definitely helped me get to grips with the Uni course.
The city life in Hereford is good as there are lots of places to go and visit and is very pleasant in the summer time. The city is fairly clean and most of the public are deemed very friendly. Lots of coffee shops and small cafes are situated here and there a plenty of shops for clothes etc!
The course I am studying is very much based on the one I did at college. It may be advisable to look at doing the criminology at Level 3 before studying the course at University. However there are lots of support services made available by the staff and lecturers so even if you haven’t I’m sure they would be able to help you in some way or other!
