I love Kingston College

(4.8)·By James R·Other· Oct 2018
i could not be happier and with out a doubt i 100% would recommend it.

The staff are polite and always ready to help and the facilities are clean and well looked after. My course runs from 6:30pm - 9:30pm. I thought I'd get lost on campus but signs are clear despite the size of the building so there is little chance of getting lost.

I would suggest being well prepared for your classes and to be punctual, anyone who has not prepared themselves usually finds it hard to keep up. The tutors/teachers are hard workers and want to teach as much as they can in the three hour slot they have each week. I would also recommend that you really do put in the time to study, you cant get A*'s just from attending lessons!

So my final review is that the place is clean, friendly and easy to negotiate. I do however, personally find that some of the students i see look a bit chavy but i guess thats just the youth of today!

Art / Design, Year 3

(4)·By Georgie B·Art· Jul 2021
Very informative in terms of informing me of what was available to get involved with during my time at the college. Very fun getting to know everyone who I was going to be spending the next couple years with. I am very fortunate that my family live in West London so I don't require accommodation. I am able to use the library at both the university and the college which gives me a great range of resources. The student areas are ok, nothing particularly special but as an art student we have an incredible studio we spend our time in. Amazing lecturers who are also practitioners themselves giving an expert, personalised characteristic to the teaching. Nice small class sizes making lectures more inclusive and interesting. Kingston is an amazing university city, so much going on and so many opportunities. Also very close to central london which is very useful as an art student.

D.A Review

(3.5)·By Lyndsey H·Other· Oct 2018
My advice to you would be to live at university at either halls or private accommodation with your friends because it is the best thing you will ever do, some of the rooms such as Quebec House are really nice, much better than your standard uni accommodation. If your religious, there are normally a society for your religion, so you can meet others, a great way I meet some of my close mates! The library is a library, nothing more to say on that, has what you need. I don't really need to explain what London is like, there is so much to do, you wont be bored. Its not cheap though. When I left sixth form they told me university would be independent learning, but I didn't realise that meant getting absolutely no support through my studies, but work hard and you will be rewarded!

Performing arts, Year 2

(3.5)·By Tori N·Drama· Oct 2018
Being at university showed me a completely new world. Although, this my uni is connected with a regular college, I still get to live the whole uni experience. Everything is excited and even in my now Year 2, still new. The best part is probably that you get to meet new people and get to make new memories with them. The course itself is very inten and intresting but manageable.

23-24 Counselling Level 4 diploma significantly under staffed and hence below par experience.

Counselling Level 4 diploma significantly under staffed and hence below par experience.
On plus side over-stretched staff team are reasonable and pretty nice, and very committed to continue the course at all given depleted numbers; and venue is modernised and convenient in central kingston. It appears the college didn't seem to have sufficient contingency planning in place to manage staffing problems, although of course it could just be extreme back luck I guess: sometimes you get a peak in illness and staff leaving that you cannot plan for; but college did not help itself as communication to allay concerns from leadership was not forthcoming and this caused unnecessarily high stress levels across the group. Hence overall experience not really good enough sadly.
