Projects are often set by external organisations, giving you real experience of working for a professional client. These projects take up at least 50% of your time on the course.<br/><br/>You’ll work in our purpose-built architecture studios, learning skills such as casting, pencil and charcoal rendering, detailed large-scale model making, computer-based graphics and CAD drawing.<br/><br/>You’ll examine the cultural, historical, social, sustainable, material and technical issues that concern architecture. Points to include at least two A-levels or recognised equivalent. Subjects: Not subject specific but an art and design portfolio will be required. General Studies and Key Skills points not accepted in tariff. Plus GCSE (A*–C): five subjects including English, Maths and preferably a Science subject (Key Skills Level 2 may be used in lieu of GCSE English and Maths) (or comparable numeric scores under the newly reformed GCSE gradings).
