Youll understand how individuals behave in families and communities.**<br/><br/>**Course Overview**<br/>Prepare for a rewarding career as a social worker and enjoy a range of employment options across a variety of sectors.<br/><br/>As part of this course youll:<br/><br/><br/>- Study psychosocial themes and perspectives, and theories and policies relating to social welfare and the safeguarding of adults and children<br/><br/><br/>- Complete extended placements in your second and third years, which will help fulfil part of the professional body requirements for registration<br/><br/><br/>- Integrate study with professional experience to develop the essential knowledge and skills required for a career supporting diverse groups of service users in social work<br/><br/><br/>**Find Out More**<br/>This course is approved by Social Work England and successful completion provides eligibility to apply for registration as a social worker in England.<br/><br/>You’ll develop practical courtroom skills to support your understanding of social work law and safeguarding. This will include a family court and adult mental health tribunal experience undertaken in partnership with legal professionals such as judges and solicitors.<br/><br/>Academic learning is designed and delivered to support your practical social work skills and enable you to develop your professional practice. Social work placement opportunities are found across the health statutory social care, voluntary and community sectors, normally within the Leeds area.
