Overview<br/>Why study environmental health with us<br/>Covering everything from public health and food safety to environmental protection, private sector housing improvement and occupational health and safety, our environmental health degree equips you with everything you need to enter a wide variety of careers.<br/><br/>Fully-accredited environmental health degree in London, our BSc Environmental Health gives you the knowledge, certifications and skills to confidently enter into a career as an environmental health officer across all sectors.<br/><br/>This programme will be delivered in a blended learning format using live interactive teaching sessions via a number of learning platforms e.g. Kaltura newrow Adobe Connect or Zoom. These sessions will be recorded so that you can return to this learning in your own time and study at your own place. Learning may be supplemented by pre-recorded lectures, demonstration of laboratory techniques or data analysis activity where students can access the information at any point. Practical sessions will either be virtual or on campus. This wide range of teaching and learning approaches are used to build up your skills and knowledge<br/><br/>You will take part in online problem solving discussions, critical debates and exercises, online workshops, and in-class activities. You will supplement all this with your own guided and independent reading. The mix of delivery modes will be varied and suitable to the content being delivered.<br/><br/>Get transferable skills and hands-on experience with us<br/>We’re accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). By studying with us you’ll get access to specialist teaching and learning spaces, including a food inspection laboratory and a Grade 2 microbiology laboratory.<br/><br/>Our guest lectures and industry links will give you the opportunity to further enhance your knowledge of areas including practical food inspection, food safety, health and safety, and private sector housing.<br/><br/>Once you’ve completed your environmental health course, CIEH learning portfolio and professional interview, you’ll gain a Certificate of Registration from the Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB), which means you’ll be qualified as an Environmental Health Officer.<br/><br/>Get the support you need to succeed<br/>When it comes to support, you’ll be matched with a Personal Tutor to get the backing you need. You’ll also get support from our Student Learning and Graduate Academic Assistants who have personal experience in your subject.<br/><br/>Your degree – teamed with your Environmental Health Registration Board (EHRB) certification – will let you thrive in a wide variety of careers. Graduates of our course have excelled in roles within the private sector, government agencies, non-governmental organisations and local authorities.<br/><br/>**Introducing our new Learning Framework**<br/>After working with our students to gather feedback on what they love most about our courses, we’re making some changes to how we structure and teach our programmes for the start of the 2024/25 academic year.
