Psychology is the scientific study of people, the mind and behaviour. On this BPS-accredited degree you will study the foundations of this fascinating subject. Topics include developmental and social psychology, personality and abnormal psychology and evolution and genetics for psychologists. Your teaching is informed by our internationally recognised research in areas such as visual and cognitive neuroscience, clinical psychology and disorders of development. This degree is also available as a four-year programme with an integrated professional placement.

AAAAA at Higher Grade. One science Higher is required, two are preferred. We include Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, and Mathematics as science subjects. Combinations of Highers and Advanced Highers accepted. Mathematics, English plus a science required at National 5, minimum grade A (or grade 1 Standard Grade or Intermediate 2 equivalent). Where a candidate bypasses the assessment for National 5 qualifications and only either Mathematics OR one science are included in the 5 Highers making up the standard requirement then an additional 6th Higher will be required in the missing subject at grade C. Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)

H1H1H1H2H2 at Higher Level, including at least one subject with a substantial science or mathematics component including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop. If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme.
