Civil engineering, Year 1

From September the 4th of 2017, my experience at the North West Regional College has been an unbelieveable experience, it has been by far the best first few weeks I have done and to be honest I think my experience will only become better as I have met new people, made new friends, I get along with all my tutors and the North West Regional College has made me feel comfortable and at home, they are the most friendly and helpful people I have met, they treat me with the same respect I treat them and it is just the best time in my life!

Education / Teacher Training, Year 3

(4.5)·By Emma G·Education / Teacher Training· Jul 2021
The events were well organised and a lot of thought had gone into the process. It was a good way to make friends and break the ice. I really enjoyed this time. I live and home and commute to the north west regional college so I cannot comment on the accommodations. Sorry. The library is absolutely fantastic! Staff are so friendly and helpful! The students help desk is second to none. They go over and above to help with disabilities, financial help, interview practice e.t.c. The multiple restaurants and cateens are sublime and offer a wide range of food including healthy options at a reasonable price. The classrooms are airy and bright and perfect to accommodate learning. The facilities for supporting mental health are excellent too. I absolutely loved the courses I have taken here. The lecturers are very personable and genuinely want the best for every student, I always have felt valued as a learner. The course and content itself was very well written and the process of learning was straightforward and useful for professional practice. The lecturers I have had have always taken an interest the students personally and seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. I absolutely love derry city! The people are full of community spirit. There are facilities and clubs to accommodate nearly every hobby and the scenery is to die for! Love walks along the quay! The restaurants and eateries are second to none and the shopping is fab! Lots of places to go out for a night on the town too! Grannie Annie's was always a favourite!

This University always have me the tools and the help to progress in my career and education. It helped me to also figure out what I was passionate about or what really clicked with me. The teachers and staff are always very friendly and willing to help as well, no matter what you're stuck with.

I think it's absolutely amazing meeting new people and being able to experience things you'd never be able to if you were still in school. I love my corse and things is amazing the things we get to learn. Health and social care is an amazing thing and I think a lot more people should take the opportunity to do it.
