Being able to code someone else’s algorithms is useful but we’ll teach you to design and implement your own – taking your skills to the next level.<br/><br/>You’ll get to grips with the building blocks of mathematics such as algebra, calculus and statistics but there’s so much more to it than that. As well as developing your complementary computing skills, the course also strengthens your knowledge of mathematics, making you a better coder. We’ll give you plenty of opportunities to get hands-on and practice.<br/><br/>This course is excellent preparation for the challenges posed by big data, cyber security and the Internet of Things, and has been designed to produce graduates well placed to address this digital revolution. Your blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills will prepare you for a huge range of possible careers. Modules cover techniques in systems analysis, software development and graphics programming alongside appropriate topics in mathematics. Optional modules in your final year enable you to mould your course to your own interests – including choosing a project from either Mathematics or Computer Science.
