Plumpton college is a really good choice for uni

(4)·By Georgia G·Animal Science· Jan 2026
The facilities here are really good, there is plenty of opportunities for hands on learning with the animals. The location is amazing as it is in the south downs countryside. The learning is very targeted with frequent 1-1s with lectures and small class sizes, you have constant support which really helps your learning

Review of BSc Applied Zoology and Animal Conservation (Top-Up)

(3)·By Sophie B·Zoology· Feb 2026
I have been studying at Plumpton College for the past five years. I completed my foundation degree here and am now completing my Bachelors in Applied Zoology and Animal Conservation.
I can safely say that overall, my university experience has been fantastic. The staff at the college are extremely experienced and supportive, providing opportunities for skill progression and additional learning. In terms of the course itself, the content supports a range of interests and preferences in terms of job roles. As the course is brand new, the content targets areas where job roles are frequently advertised, such as climate change and advancing zoo science.
Due to the nature of where the college is based and the fact that college students numbers are much higher than university students', the experience is limited. Activities targeted towards uni students are relatively scarce, but if you are not looking for the traditional 'uni lifestyle' this is not a problem.
