This innovative programme offers specialised pathways, flexible learning and high-quality hands-on placements with our partner NHS Trusts and hospitals to support you to gain the clinical, academic and research skills to fast-track your career. <br/><br/><br/>- Combine academic study, doctoral level research and clinical placements to give you a comprehensive training programme. <br/><br/><br/>- Undertake 12-month placements within a UK NHS clinical setting to gain practical experience in a relevant general or specialist environment. <br/><br/><br/>- Choose from 2 optional tracks to personalise your learning<br/><br/><br/>- Global Public Health and Policy (September start, on campus only) or <br/><br/><br/>- Healthcare Research Methods (January start online only or September start, online or on campus) <br/><br/><br/>- Benefit from flexible study options including full-time, part-time, on campus and blended learning or distance learning utilising high-quality online materials. <br/><br/><br/>- Be part of the Queen Mary International Clinical Academy, a world-class academy specialising in clinical postgraduate education for international students. <br/><br/><br/>Your training will be divided into three phases: <br/><br/>**Phase One**<br/><br/><br/>- 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time study incorporating 8 modules from one of two optional tracks either from the MSc Global Public Health and Policy, taught longitudinally on-campus (September start only) or from the MSc Healthcare Research Methods (January start online only or September start, online or on campus) and taught in three-day blocks approximately every 4 to 6 weeks.<br/><br/><br/>- In addition, you’ll take 2 longitudinal modules. One module in Professional Studies, which is assessed by a reflective portfolio, and the other is Research into Practice, which involves a detailed literature review presented as a mini dissertation. <br/><br/><br/>**Phase Two**<br/><br/><br/>- 1 year full-time clinical placement in a UK NHS Trust working alongside clinicians with exposure to comprehensive, contemporary and novel clinical medicine practice. This clinical activity will be supplemented by 3 modules: Applied Research I, Applied Clinical Skills, Research II. <br/><br/><br/>- These modules are assessed by an audit or healthcare improvement project dissertation, clinical portfolio, project proposal and plan. <br/><br/><br/>**Phase Three**<br/><br/><br/>- 1 year full-time or 2 years part-time advanced study to complete an independent research project and dissertation that demonstrates the application of scientific method to a problem of relevance to your chosen subject. <br/><br/><br/>**September 2025 start application deadline: 28 March 2025**
