Worlds of social media, gaming, media streaming, digital art, big data, and government are shaped by computer networks, algorithms, artificial intelligence, and technological standards are all driving a technological revolution while redefining what it means to be human.<br/><br/>This degree helps you to excel in digital production within a broad range of industries, across a fast changing technological domain. Our graduates have gone on to work with Google, TikTok, and BBC Radio 1, the Labour Party, Joe Media, Capgemini, KPMG, and social media fame. As a member of our academic community, you can use our vast network of connections after you leave. Also, our emphasis on project-based learning means you will make connections with many other students.<br/><br/>The possibilities for graduates of DMCT are vast. This degree will prepare you for an exciting new career in that lucrative world.<br/><br/>We offer a wide range of core and optional modules to tailor your degree to your interests. In the first year, youll study the history of digital media, creative coding, web and game design, and media theory. In the second year, youll work on a data visualisation project, explore narrative structures in screen-based media, produce a three-day digital festival, and learn about digital aesthetics and software politics. We require at least five GCSEs at grade A*-C or 9 - 4 including English and Mathematics.
Applicants with the Cambridge Pre-U are strongly encouraged to apply to Royal Holloway. Offers will be made on the basis of equivalent A-Level grades as can be found on the Royal Holloway website.

Where an applicant is taking the EPQ alongside A-levels, the EPQ will be taken into consideration and result in lower A-level grades being required. Socio-economic factors which may have impacted an applicant’s education will be taken into consideration and alternative offers may be made to these applicants.
Requirements are as for A-levels where one non-subject-specified A-level can be replaced by the same grade in the Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate
