The social life is buzzing with many SU events year round. Personally, I entered the Tooting Show for this year, organized by ACS, and I've never gotten to know so many amazing people at once!

Medicine, Year 2

(5)·By Anya T·Medicine· Jul 2021
It was really good fun, the student union put on loads of interesting events. They got us familiar with the uni and the local area. They also put us in touch with older students so we had more familiar faces on our course. They have one location for student accommodation. It's really nice, with standard or premium rooms. There is also full time security which is really good. The library is really good, with computers and silent study space. The student union is really active and puts on a lot of events. There is a lot of sport available to do and the uni has a sports hall. There is a really good balance of lectures and small group teaching. They also ease you into studying at a higher level and dealing with the bigger work load. They offer a lot of study support if you are struggling too. Really good, there is plenty of bars and shops on the high street. You're also only a short tube ride away from central London which is useful.

St George's Biomed experience

(4.8)·By Pavana G·Medicine· Jun 2023
I started my university experience during the lockdown, which took away most of my opportunities of experiencing the full university life. But St George's staff and student body have created an environment and platform for me to still be able to enjoy everything my university has to offer.

I was able to join societies and create a network for myself. I was given opportunities to build and grow myself not only in my studies but in real-life problems and skills.

My professors made sure to communicate with us and allowed us to be able to project our voices and issues. I had amazing support from the SGUL staff and was able to enjoy university even during COVID-19.

I will not say that it wasn't hard, especially since everything had become online. Something I am not used to. But my university created a blended approach, which provided me with the freedom to go over my lectures in my own time whilst also allowing me to meet my peers to discuss our topics.

Overall, I have made some very great friends, learnt a lot of new skills and was able to enhance my current skills to become a better person.

The most amazing aspect of George's is that they also allow the student to expand their creativity and culture, which widened my views and gave me a lot of wonderful memories I will cherish.

Thank you St George's for having me as one of your students.

Physiotherapy / Occupational, Graduate

(4.8)·By Katya M·Physiotherapy· Jul 2021
Really inclusive and varied for a spectrum of interests. As it is a small university I felt it was an excellent way to meet my peers and other students. Although the queues to the events were very long Very safe and lovely accommodation rooms. Although the monitoring and signing in for guests was quite excessive Library was fantastic Study and breakout rooms again fantastic and lots of plugs and online resources SU was lovely, charming however I felt it struggled to fit people for larger events Again as it is a smaller uni I enjoyed how inclusive it was and how easy it was to get to know peers. I enjoy the helpfulness of the anatomy room to learn as well as (some) friendly staff and lecturers Fantastic. Tooting is a place perfect for a student. Affordable supermarkets, fun bars and clubs and easy access to central London. Although the pricing can be challenging

really fun lots to do and london has a great nightlife the uni is a bit small but that's the only thing and it doesn't stop you from having a great time and making great memories really nice everything is en suite can't really fault it all good all fulfil their purposes the course is interesting and the lecturers are very smart people amazing the location is close enough to central to go when you feel like it but far enough to still feel homely

Medicine, Year 2

It's a small university, so everyone from all years get to know each other. Being in a big lecture hall studying was weird at first, but I got used to it, some lecturers are very talkative, some are jokes. Joining societies is fun, because most members are friendly and sociable, and help you a lot with work/sport life. I'm now a captain and I can pass on my advice to Freshers. Studying Medicine is hard but having seen patients for placement and studied cadavers, I've definitely found the course very interesting!
