Medicine, Year 2

(5)·By Anya T·Medicine· Jul 2021
It was really good fun, the student union put on loads of interesting events. They got us familiar with the uni and the local area. They also put us in touch with older students so we had more familiar faces on our course. They have one location for student accommodation. It's really nice, with standard or premium rooms. There is also full time security which is really good. The library is really good, with computers and silent study space. The student union is really active and puts on a lot of events. There is a lot of sport available to do and the uni has a sports hall. There is a really good balance of lectures and small group teaching. They also ease you into studying at a higher level and dealing with the bigger work load. They offer a lot of study support if you are struggling too. Really good, there is plenty of bars and shops on the high street. You're also only a short tube ride away from central London which is useful.

Really good. Lots of events in the area and around London. Nice. Clean, fresh. Slightly to small for my taste Very good facilities. Library Is huge and very aesthetically nice. SU bar is great. Good engagement with small group teaching etc and really interesting content Amazing. London is very cool, if not expensive.

Medicine, Year 2

It's a small university, so everyone from all years get to know each other. Being in a big lecture hall studying was weird at first, but I got used to it, some lecturers are very talkative, some are jokes. Joining societies is fun, because most members are friendly and sociable, and help you a lot with work/sport life. I'm now a captain and I can pass on my advice to Freshers. Studying Medicine is hard but having seen patients for placement and studied cadavers, I've definitely found the course very interesting!

Medicine, Year 4 Plus

St. George's is such a lovely small university- although some may see this as a negative, it really fosters a community feel where everyone knows and helps each other out. Being so close to the hospital ensures early clinical exposure and the teaching staff are excellent. The SU bar has been renovated this summer and is a wonderful place to relax during the day as well as the evening. SU events are held throughout the year and are popular with all year groups. Halls are modern, all rooms en suite, clean and secure. Would happily pick St George's if I had to do it again.

Physiotherapy / Occupational, Graduate

(4.8)·By Katya M·Physiotherapy· Jul 2021
Really inclusive and varied for a spectrum of interests. As it is a small university I felt it was an excellent way to meet my peers and other students. Although the queues to the events were very long Very safe and lovely accommodation rooms. Although the monitoring and signing in for guests was quite excessive Library was fantastic Study and breakout rooms again fantastic and lots of plugs and online resources SU was lovely, charming however I felt it struggled to fit people for larger events Again as it is a smaller uni I enjoyed how inclusive it was and how easy it was to get to know peers. I enjoy the helpfulness of the anatomy room to learn as well as (some) friendly staff and lecturers Fantastic. Tooting is a place perfect for a student. Affordable supermarkets, fun bars and clubs and easy access to central London. Although the pricing can be challenging

Amazing! Freshers events were always a great laugh, and everyone loves meeting up outside of set up events to just chill out and have fun. The uni staff work so hard to ensure you're getting the best opportunities. The staff are also incredibly supportive and focus on your wellbeing, referring you on to any resources you might need, or just meeting up for a chat regularly. The area around uni is great too. I'd definitely recommend this uni to people and am so glad I came here.

really fun lots to do and london has a great nightlife the uni is a bit small but that's the only thing and it doesn't stop you from having a great time and making great memories really nice everything is en suite can't really fault it all good all fulfil their purposes the course is interesting and the lecturers are very smart people amazing the location is close enough to central to go when you feel like it but far enough to still feel homely

Biology / Biotechnology, Year 3

Very entertaining, numerous events to attend. Made loads of new friends and had fun. Got closer to the University itself with events held at the university Halls residential. I commute from home so this wouldn't apply but from what I have heard it is a 10 minute walk away from campus. A fairly big library which is colourful, always a bonus. Numerous teaching rooms placed in different parts of the University so no matter where you are, you will most probably find a place to study as these teaching rooms can be used as study spaces. There is a massive sports hall where exams also take place but sticking to the more positive and fun topic of sport, the hall can accompany many individuals for some playtime. The lectures were well organised and the lecturer's delivering the content understood the content very well. The course itself is split into semesters so exams would follow the end of the semester and so instead of cramming a huge ton of knowledge into my tiny brain for one exam I could focus on a specific set of modules for each exam. Diverse cultures in London. Particularly in tooting with the tooting market which houses many multicultural places to eat.
