Our BSc Psychology degree will give you a chance to learn a broad spectrum of contemporary psychological research and application, giving you the chance to find and explore the areas in psychology that you are most passionate about. The course also allows you to tailor your learning to your interests and by the end of the course, you will be equipped with all the necessary skills and knowledge to design and create your very own investigations and experiments, as well as an ability to recognise and apply psychological theory and research to the world around you. During the course you will learn about the many fascinating career options following a degree in psychology. You will explore professional psychology pathways such as clinical, forensic and health psychology as well as learn how you can apply your psychological knowledge to a range of different fields.<br/><br/>Youll develop useful and transferable skills in problem solving, communication, critical thinking and evaluation. By the end of the course, you will be equipped with all of the necessary skills and knowledge to design and create your very own investigations and experiments.<br/><br/>You will also be encouraged, where possible, to contribute new findings and theory to existing knowledge in your specialist area. There are lots of options to choose from in your final year, so you can follow your particular interests in different areas of psychology. A variety of teaching and learning methods are used to deliver the course and these include case studies, essays, reports, presentations and examinations. <br/><br/>We have recently refreshed and improved our courses and as a result of this we are currently awaiting British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation of our new courses being delivered from September 2022.
