As a student of our Accounting and Finance department within the School of Management at Swansea University, you can expect to receive excellent teaching, driven by our world-class academic team of staff and state-of-the-art Bay Campus facilities. <br/><br/>The Foundation Year is an excellent pathway to gaining the required knowledge and skills in finance before joining Year 1 students of the BSc Finance (Sustainability) degree within the School of Management. <br/><br/>This degree is perfect if you have the passion to understand modern finance theories and practice while also emphasising the importance of sustainability in business.<br/><br/>With a growing interest from investors, sustainability reporting and investing is fast becoming a driving force across all industries.<br/><br/>By building awareness of the global, social, and ethical professional environment within which finance operates, particularly within a sustainability context, you will focus on the integration of finance themes within the wider business context. This includes a comprehensive exploration of topics like environmental economics, sustainable investing, financial sustainable reporting, as well as the integration of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data and other sustainability measures into the teaching approach. <br/><br/>The foundation year is taught at The College, on Bay Campus. Located next to the School of Management, The College is the University’s pathway provider and offers a unique learning environment; designed to fully prepare you for the final three years of your degree.
