Health Informatics PhD

Our PhD/MPhil Health Informatics programme enables you to undertake a research project that will improve understanding of Health Informatics. <br/><br/>Health informatics and data science is set to revolutionise healthcare by providing a deeper understanding between healthcare delivery, outcomes and patients as well as empowering people to manage their own health.<br/><br/>Manchester has considerable breadth and expertise in this field, being home to the MRC-funded Health eResearch Centre (HeRC), one of four in the country recognised as a centre of excellence in the field. <br/><br/>The main research theme that we focus on is managed self-care and wellbeing, which includes: <br/>- Stratified medicine<br/><br/><br/>- Healthcare systems optimisation <br/><br/><br/>- Clinical trials and real world drug outcomes<br/><br/><br/>- Digital health<br/>
