Psychiatry PhD

Our PhD/MPhil Psychiatry programme enables you to undertake a research project that will improve understanding of Psychiatry. <br/><br/>Our academics have internationally outstanding knowledge and expertise in conducting research studies in child and adolescent, adult and old age psychiatry. <br/><br/>Particular strengths include: <br/>- Severe mental disorders such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder (including the prodromal stages of these conditions);<br/><br/><br/>- Dementia;<br/><br/><br/>- Depression;<br/><br/><br/>- Anxiety disorders;<br/><br/><br/>- Personality disorders;<br/><br/><br/>- Autism spectrum disorder;<br/><br/><br/>- Attachment disorders;<br/><br/><br/>- Self-harm and suicide;<br/><br/><br/>- Homicide and other forms of interpersonal violence;<br/><br/><br/>- Forensic psychiatry;<br/><br/><br/>- Neurobiological and imaging studies;<br/><br/><br/>- Psychiatric epidemiology.<br/>
