To qualify for CEng registration, you must possess a masters or doctorate accreditation as part of your further learning, meeting the accredited qualifications required for CEng.<br/><br/>What youll study<br/>This professionally accredited course will provide you with the key analytical and practical skills and knowledge you need to become a chartered civil or structural engineer. We will show you how to think about problems from a sustainability point of view. This approach will help to prepare you for the ever-changing needs of the building sector.<br/>You will benefit from being taught by industry experts at the forefront of civil and environmental engineering research. Their expertise will give you access to current knowledge of issues and developments in the field.<br/>Year 1: In your first year, you will study core areas such as structural mechanics, civil engineering practice and mathematics for civil engineers, as well as computer-aided design (CAD).<br/>Year 2: The following year you will move on to fluid mechanics, highway engineering, soil mechanics, design of steel/masonry structures and other important aspects of construction.<br/>Year 3: In your final year, you will complete a work-based structural design project. Employers often seek graduates with hands-on experience, so by taking on these challenges, you will enhance your career prospects in engineering.<br/>Alongside your analytical skills and core knowledge of engineering principles, we will help you to develop the qualities you need to succeed in your chosen career.<br/>The accreditation is on behalf of the Engineering Council to fully meet the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer. Having the registration will ensure that your qualification will be valued throughout the industry.
