The outcome is graduates who are well-rounded journalists who are not only skilled content creators but also thoughtful contributors to the media landscape.<br/>Practical experience on the course includes:<br/>• realistic newsroom simulations, providing hands-on experience in producing news stories in a fast-paced environment<br/>• voice coaching and training to develop broadcast-ready delivery skills and refine techniques essential for various journalistic platforms.<br/>As well as equipping you with the ability to produce written work according to the standards of traditional print journalism, we will also teach you to:<br/>• create compelling digital content, including podcasts and social media<br/>• produce and edit video and audio material<br/>• gain a deeper understanding of journalism’s place within broader cultural, social, and political contexts<br/>• understand legal issues facing journalists.<br/>Throughout your journalistic studies, you will have access to our professionally equipped studios where you can develop your skills in:<br/>• podcasting<br/>• video production<br/>• media presentation<br/>• photo journalism<br/>• radio journalism.<br/>In your final year, you will have the choice to work on an independent journalistic project or media dissertation.<br/>e media landscape.<br/><br/>The foundation year course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to continue onto your Honours degree. You will study a range of subjects that will underpin your future study and also gain valuable experience of university life, with full access to campus facilities. Successful completion of the year allows you to progress straight onto Level 4 of this course.
