You’ll be prepared for a career in scientific or management areas.<br/><br/>This course allows you to combine your love of chemistry with an interest in how business works. You’ll gain a broad education in chemistry with an understanding of the theories of chemical behaviour and how theyre applied. Youll also develop skills in experimental chemistry and in designing experiments to test hypothesis.<br/><br/>At least a quarter of the credits you’ll study will be management topics, delivered by the School of Management. You’ll develop an understanding of the social, legal and economic implications of the decisions managers in industry are required to make.<br/><br/>Flexible course<br/>You can specialise in a particular field through optional chemistry and management units and a project. You’ll draw upon the expertise of academics in both the School of Management and Department of Chemistry, and could even contribute to our research. Our chemistry degrees have the same core units in the first year giving you the flexibility to switch courses before your second year.<br/><br/>BSc or MSci<br/>This is a BSc course. If you want a more in-depth study experience, you could consider applying for our MSci Chemistry with Management course, which is also available with professional placement.
