A nurse needs to be able to assess care needs then plan, implement and evaluate care for children and young people with a wide range of illnesses and conditions. This calls for excellent communication skills and compassion as well as specialist knowledge and nursing skills, all of which you acquire from this degree. It is designed to give you high levels of hands-on experience in hospital and community settings, with 50% of your time spent in practice settings.
