Amazing journey by far

(5)·By Arube A·Law· Jun 2023
I believe that my overall experience at University has been an interesting journey. The University of Bolton is an extremely welcoming society with a variety of courses to offer. University tends to be an overwhelming jump from college however after settling in, you begin to grow as an individual into an adult through handling real life situations and you also begin to think about your career path. This transformation from a teenage into an adult is something to definitely see if choosing the University path. One thing I really appreciate about the University of Bolton is the Diverse community that they have. There are many individuals of many origins and everybody is treated equally. This shows how The University of Bolton give International students the opportunity to strive and achieve. I cannot say there is anything to dislike as it has been such a pleasure so far studying here. The Law course is in depth and also includes vocational studying eg. mooting which encourages you to become more confident with speaking in a court room setting. Overall this University has alot to offer!

Psychology / Criminology, Year 2

Very good freshers week, there was lots of help around campus in order to familiarise ourselves with it. Got to know people in my course and lecturers etc. I am currently staying in manchester and I commute, however I was going to live in bolton the cube and the process was very easy and helpful. Library is excellent with great facilities, the student areas are also very good and clean and well maintained. The head of my course was very good when explaining what the course entailed and she introduced us to all other lecturers and people of interest. It made me really comfortable going to uni. As I said I live in Manchester and it's a big change from a small city in ireland but I love it. There is direct trains to bolton

Freshers week was okay. Didn't do much because I didn't know about the events until it was over. Not been in it myself but it's okay. Good size, good space. All very very fab! There are small classes and so the lecturers know you and you know them and it's easy to get along with everyone and know them on a personal level. It's busy.

Uni as it should be

(5)·By Jess H·Law· Jun 2023
I transferred to the University of Bolton from York after first year. Since joining Bolton, I have found university life and my studies to be so much better! The tutors and lecturers are so supportive and will go above and beyond for you in every way. Even the non academic staff are always there for you and always make you feel welcome and put a smile on your face. I found the transfer quite nerve wracking as it was a completely different university and they had much different structures to what I was already used to. However, I was never shy to ask my tutor for help and advice and made use of the university facilities, which helped me by a mile. I absolutely love the range of tutorials during lectures and assessments, the university make the course extremely enjoyable whilst also teaching you the important content and making sure you're ready for the world of work in your chosen career. There really isn't much I dislike about Bolton!

It was amazing! So much to do and see I'm not sure Facilities were absolutely amazing at Bolton. The art department was always fully stocked with great materials and equipment They were very attentive and always gave you time for tutorials. Lectures were also small and very intimate I really love bolton because it's an old town and there are so many places to visit and go to

It was great! Precise details given and good introduction overall I lived with my parents, but I've heard great things about the accommodation It was of great standard with so many facilities around and the book range and journal availability was absolutely great! The courses were well structured, we got a lot of support for our assignments, the workshops were always really helpful and more importantly the lecturers always available to help! Amazing

Bolton university review

(5)·By Amy B·Psychology· Jun 2023
I absolutely loved Bolton university, I did psychology, psychotherapy and counselling as an undergraduate degree and I'm looking at doing my post graduate studies here, there is so much support offered and the lecturers are really understanding, I don't have a bad word to say about the university, I am local so didn't stay in acomodacion but it's very close to the uni and the night life is good in Bolton. I gained my ABC certificate in counselling during the course which is a massive plus as it means if I want to do a masters in counselling I don't need to do this externally, I would definitely reccomend Bolton university to anyone, you also get support from student services for up to three years after your degree ends!

Freshers week was brilliant Busy but brilliant So many friendly people who were there if I needed help or had any questions Accommodation was quite small but homely and if you wanted anything changing they would try to assist you so it met your needs Felt safe and secure The facilities were also brilliant Spacious and easy access The library had a wide tangent of book a to help you and easy to concentrate Well even though it was a small class it wasn't better as the lecturers were able to give you a more one on one experience Focused on you and how you learn individualy You learn all different techniques into the course which really help you progress and perform better Inspiring City life was good quite a small town but everyone was so friendly and supportive Every shop was close to eachother Everything you needed was right there
