The course leads to the award of Qualified Teacher Status, enabling you to teach secondary school pupils aged 11-16 in England and Wales. You will graduate with the all-round experience and knowledge to teach the National Curriculum for Physical Education (NCPE).

In our most recent inspection we were rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.<br/><br/>The course leads to the award of Qualified Teacher Status, enabling you to teach secondary school pupils aged 11-16 in England and Wales. You will graduate with the all-round experience and knowledge to teach the National Curriculum for Physical Education (NCPE).<br/><br/>At Brighton we have partnerships with over 600 schools enabling us to offer our student very varied school-based training options. You’ll also be able to work with children by taking part in inclusive festivals, team-building days, and outdoor adventure activity sessions.<br/><br/>You will have access to excellent sport facilities and a course team have many years’ experience of teaching PE in schools. We offer a range of qualifications and extracurricular activities that you can take during your course.<br/><br/>**Don’t meet the entry requirements?**<br/>The University of Brighton Sport BSc(Hons) with integrated foundation year provides an extra year of study at foundation level for students who do not hold the academic qualifications or experience required for entry to this course. Successful completion of the foundation year enables you to progress onto year 1 of this degree.
