<strong>Course overview</strong><br/><br/>Our BA (Hons) Korean with Studies degree will teach you to master the Korean language. You will also explore the culture, politics, and global significance of the Asia Pacific region.<br/><br/>You will study the Korean language, becoming fluent in one of the key languages of the region. This will open up a variety of career options for you. No prior knowledge of the language is required.<br/><br/>The Asia Pacific region is a large part of the global economy. Youll understand why this region is so important to the global landscape. Youll delve into the region’s culture, history, politics and society.<br/><br/>You can also spend a year in South Korea through our study abroad programme. This will allow you to immerse yourself in Korean culture as part of your studies.<br/><br/><strong>Why study this course</strong><br/><br/><br/>• Gain Korean language skills which will open up a variety of exciting career options, including interpreting.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• You will have access to our Worldwise Learning Centre, including the free use of Rosetta Stone.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Learn from lecturers who are experts in their fields, including native Korean speakers.<br/><br/><br/><br/><strong>What you’ll do</strong><br/><br/><br/>• You will study the Korean language, as well as the regions history, society and culture.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• Youll will practise your language skills in our interpreting suites and access the resources at our Worldwise Learning Centre.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• You’ll have the opportunity to spend a year abroad, where you can immerse yourself in Korean language and culture.<br/><br/><br/><br/><strong>Future careers</strong><br/><br/>Our Ba (Hons) Korean Studies will prepare you for a wide range of careers in or connected to the Asia Pacific region. The main aim of this course is to become fluent in Korean. Youll also gain a thorough cultural understanding of the Asia Pacific.
