The University of Chichester is a thriving higher education institution which is consistently recognised as one of the top 30 universities in the UK (Guardian University Guide 2025) with students amongst the happiest in the UK, according to the National Student Survey 2024.<br/><br/>The University is based in West Sussex, with campuses in the historic city centre and the coastal resort of Bognor Regis. The University dates back to 1839, when it was established as a college for training schoolmasters before evolving to the community-focused University it is today where students are known by name and not a number.<br/><br/>This year the University of Chichester received a ‘Gold’ rating in the national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) for delivering an outstanding experience and outcomes for our students. Alongside this achievement, Ofsted has graded teacher training provision as outstanding and 86 per cent of their research has been rated as internationally-renowned in the most recent Research Excellent Framework (REF).<br/><br/>Key disciplines at the University are sport, education, creative and digital technologies, and engineering.
