Insane! Uni really looked after us and there were multiple discount brackets available. Derby uni is a uni that really looks after it's student and makes sure that they have everything available to allow them to succeed. Even through COVID lockdowns they have made them self very available from lectures to support and well being. Library isn't open 24/7 which is annoying, but is very well adapted for students. The sport's facilities are top rate. The student uni changes every year consistently improving. And class rooms are all pretty knew and kept well. Lectures are brilliant! always available to help with assignments and give feedback. They also have an open fee back session at the end of each semester to know how to improve the following semester. Night life is great, not far from many of the accommodations. The uni puts on events for the students and has staff that make sure people get home safe after.

Civil Engineering, Year 3

I didn't attend freshers week as a part time student Don't live in the accommodation so no comment The facilities were great, including good options for food and drink (although pricey IMO) The course was good the lectures were often varied. With balanced practical and research based workload Derby is a small city but I think it has everything that's needed. Good nightlife and shopping. And variety of restaurants etc

Freshers week was amazing First year due to it not being lockdown and we had a lot more freedom being students and was very enjoyable appose to this year I love my university accommodation everyone is really friendly and the flat itself is perfect for me The classrooms and library are exceptional. Best university that I know of and the student union is very supportive and always on hand I believe the course is suited to me very well that's why it's good. Although there hasn't been many lectures in person this year as much as I would like City life is amazing! Absolutely love everything about Derby

At my university the lecturers are very friendly and want us to succeed, they are approachable and make you feel at ease if you are worried about something. Derby University also provides students with entertainment throughout the year from themed nights out to comedy shows. This university has provided me with the confidence to succeed in my future career as a primary school teacher. I would highly recommend this university to anyone who is not only wanting a degree but also an enjoyable experience.

Business Studies / Management, Graduate

It was good in terms of the amount of people that were willing to provide resource on how to make the most of the course and how to get the best grade in each module. First year student accommodation wasn't bad. Not a fan of sharing bathrooms but still managed. Second and third year I stayed at private accommodation by the university and it was very nice and homely. I cannot fault the facility, neither the sports or the lecture rooms. Everything is in great condition and clean too! The lecturers were very hands on in helping and provided further help when I needed it. As for the course, it was well taught and helped me to learn more about business The city is small but very full of life. Great people and great shops and restaurants.
