Very good University
I have looked for a university where I can do my Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) beside of work. It was important to me to have not an all online course but some taught elements in it. I shortlisted a few universities in the UK, and went to a postgraduation open day at the university of Derby. The people are very helpful, supportive and friendly, so I applied for this course, had my interview and was selected. This was one of the best decisions I ever made. So far the teaching experience has been amazing, tutors and lecturers are very knowledgeable and supportive. Great interaction in the classroom. One advantage is, that you get your supervisor assigned very early, which is very uncommon in other universities. One of the best qualities I found is a friendliness and helpfulness of all staff, not only the teachers and the tutors but also support people from library, IT and others. I highly recommend the course in the University in general.

I searched many universities in the UK before taking admission in Master of Arts in Education. I saw the University of Derby is one of the best universities in the UK. Now I am here at the University of Derby and I realize that my decision is right. I chose the right university and I will try to fulfill my own responsibilities soon.

Best Place to be
As an international student, University of Derby is the university to be. It has state-of-the-art equipment and is located in the center with a very effective transport system to access other cities very cheaply. The place is warm and has a low crime rate.

great course for part time mature students
My course is really interesting and my tutor is fantastic! The part-time course works well alongside working and being a mom. The disability support is somewhat lacking due to confusion between the campuses (I study at Leek College campus which the disability team seems to know nothing about!)

A fresh start
I have been to a university prior to Derby, which was De Montfort University. My experience at this university was lonely and very disheartening. Even though my grades were amazing, my social experience lacked and was little to none. I had no friends, which made me question universities as I was so unhappy. I made the decision to move to the University of Derby and have found it much better. My social experience is amazing as I found a really good group of friends and have made some valuable connections and memories so far. I enjoy my course and its different components. For example, I’ve learned how to use a Canon camera to create crime scene footage. It’s just been a great start and I could not have asked for a better outcome.
