Amazing

(5)·By Eloise D·Film· Jun 2024
University is like a cherished friend, always there to challenge, inspire, and uplift me. Its halls buzz with the energy of curiosity and ambition, drawing me into a world of endless possibilities. The professors are like guiding lights, sharing their wisdom and igniting my passion for learning. Each lecture is a journey of discovery, expanding my horizons and shaping my perspective on the world. The campus itself is a vibrant community, where friendships are forged and memories are made. From late-night study sessions to spirited debates in the classroom, every moment at university is an opportunity for growth and personal development. It's a place where I can explore my interests, pursue my dreams, and become the best version of myself. University fills me with a sense of purpose and belonging, reminding me that with dedication and determination, anything is possible.

My experience at UEA :)

(5)·By Lydia S·Pharmacology / Pharmacy· Jun 2024
First year, I lived in an ensuite room on campus and met my best friend on the first day who lived right next door to me. I made amazing memories that I'll cherish forever and met so many lovely people. I've really enjoyed my course so far, and my lecturers' passion and enthusiasm really help. It was also cool to join societies, such as ballet, as it gave me the opportunity to practice something I loved outside of my studies. The campus at UEA is beautiful and relaxing to walk around, helping clear my mind when I have exams and deadlines.

Hannah

(5)·By Hannah A·Biology· Jun 2024
Hi, I’m Hannah. I completed a foundation year and I’m now in my first year of my biological science degree.

The course is great. I believe the lectures are doing the best they can with the time they’re given and how complex the material is. Mark, one of my lecturers, is really engaging and makes jokes constantly, but they’re great because he has such a sweet personality. I love him.

I worked in a chicken factory for 2 years before uni, so being here is like a holiday. I've met so many people, had so many new experiences, made many mistakes, but it’s all part of the fun, isn't it? Going to Australia in my third year of uni, so I’m basically living the life.

I’m currently at a pub quiz with my flatmates.

Loving life. UEA is where it’s at (never been to any other uni so my opinion might be a tad bit biased).

UEA, UEA, UEA.

Being on a different campus in a different college is sometimes scary but the teachers and community is great and wholesome. Best years so far!

My university experience was great, I had 2 years affected by Covid which of course came with its problems but overall I still had a fantastic time studying Economics at UEA.

Medicine at UEA

(5)·By Rachel S·Medicine· Jun 2023
First year was a good introduction to university. The accommodation was good with the only issue being lack of a real oven and fridge space - however a second fridge was provided half way through the year after complaints. I stayed in campus en suite in a flat of 10 and we had regular cleaning and our bins were emptied for us too. UEA has a lot of peer schemes for freshers to help you settle in. The campus is really nice with the lake being an incredible space to use in summer. The campus bar, club and coffee shops are reasonably priced and offer great service. Socially, there is plenty to do on campus and in Norwich. I'd like to highlight UEA sport for offering a huge range of sports to try out. Most of my uni friends come from playing sport and we get to travel across the country to play competitively against other universities. Medicine has been a good experience with UEA offering a lot of hands on experience and placement from the start which has helped grow my confidence in becoming a doctor immensely. Support from staff is always good and there are many ways of accessing help for various issues which are clearly communicated. Overall I have had an incredibly positive 5 years of university and will be very sad to be leaving. I would recommend an open day at UEA to see the gorgeous campus and speak to current students for each course - it is definitely a university to seriously consider.

Busy and supportive

(5)·By Sade S·English Studies· Jun 2023
UEA has always been great when offered activities and support. There's a large range of clubs and societies, and I've really benefited from the facilities in sport. I've used their support services from career advice to mental health and well-being, and these services made sure I was given in depth help and individual care. UEA has allowed me to get the most out of my university experience.

Overview

(5)·By Pippa S·Medicine· Jun 2023
The accomodation in first year was good, i was in the ziggurats and except for very hot in the summer from all the glass windows.
The course is set out to be practical from the start and you go to GP from the second week, I didn't realise but looking back there was a lot of self-study and originally hating the sound of that - I much prefered it and felt it was a good way to learn.
Make sure to join a club when you go to university - meet new people and gets you out of the house.
