To help you gain real-world experience, this degree can be taken in sandwich mode, giving you the opportunity to spend a year working in industry before your final year. These paid placements typically last between 9–12 months and are an excellent way to build your professional skills and boost your employability. Short-term school or college placements are also available for students interested in teaching.

Graduates from this course have gone on to work with organisations such as Oracle, Kent Connects, and the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development. Many students also take advantage of summer internships, supported by the university’s Employability and Careers Service, which offers CV clinics, mock interviews, and workshops throughout the year.
