With access to industry experts from our emergency and counter-terrorism services, this extended forensic science with criminology degree is the perfect platform for your future career.
Our degree in forensic science with criminology covers subjects such as biology and physiology, forensic geoscience, and chemistry for life science. We have introduced new criminology modules that will enhance your learning in areas of criminal justice and the media. You'll also study modules in criminology, including policing, violence in society and the psychology of terrorism. Hands-on study includes sessions held in the lab and at mock crime scenes.
The course begins with a foundation year to get you ready for degree-level learning. You'll then study the same modules offered on our three-year course.
Our new scenario-based investigation will offer an authentic style of teaching in year 1, 2 and 3 of the programme aligning theoretical knowledge to practical skills for forensic scientists, bringing to life the “Crime Scene to Court” approach with industry support from our partners at Forensic Access Limited. Gain the confidence to report and present your findings in keeping with the Forensic Regulators Codes of Practice.
The course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences, the professional body for forensic science worldwide.
