Engineering with Foundation Year

A one year programme delivered at one of our partner colleges which provides an alternative route into a named undergraduate award at the University of Hertfordshire. You'll spend an initial year gaining all the knowledge you need to progress to the first year of any of the University of Hertfordshire's BEng degrees or technology based BSc degrees. During that year, you'll spend four days a week at your preferred college, plus a day at the university. There, you'll work alongside all the other Engineering Foundation Year students, carrying out lab and project work under the supervision of the university's staff.

The University of Hertfordshire will provide you with the skills needed for the modern workplace by delivering career-focused degrees. Herts consults with employers when designing courses and their facilities provide you with up-to-date, real-world experience, mirroring the careers and industries you'll work in after graduation.

You'll have the opportunity to take part in a range of co-curricular activities to help boost your CV, including an award-winning mock assessment centre.
