Computer science is the study of how computers solve problems, combining theory and practical skills in areas such as programming, algorithms, and automation. Our Computer Science BSc(Hons) course begins with a common first year shared across computing degrees, giving you a strong foundation in core concepts before progressing to more specialised topics in later years.

Is computer science a useful degree? A science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) course can open doors in terms of career progression, thanks to your on-campus learning and placement opportunities and earning potential.
