Instead, you’ll require: <br/>• an industry skill [a minimum Level 3 qualification in your specialist area]. <br/>• an appropriate entry qualification <br/>• a passion for teaching and training others. <br/><br/>**Why Study Lifelong Learning Cert Ed pre-service?** <br/>You can choose to study for one year full-time – and upon successful completion of the course – you’ll be eligible to proceed to gain Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status. This is following a process of professional formation through the Society for Education and Training. QTLS is the full professional status for teachers in the Lifelong Learning sector. <br/><br/>You’ll focus on your subject specialist area, alongside general teaching in the lifelong learning sector. You can also secure a placement with one of our partnership institutions, where you’ll: <br/>• observe experienced teachers <br/>• gain practical hands-on experience <br/>• benefit from one-to-one mentoring. <br/><br/>You can access our professional and academic network on this teacher training course. Following completion, 98.4 per cent† of postgraduates are in work and/or further study within 15 months of graduating. <br/><br/>You may apply for a teaching role in the FE and Skills sector, which consists of a range of provider types. <br/><br/>†HESA Graduate Outcomes 2018/19, UK domiciled
