I love the uni; it has given me loads of opportunities, and I’ve made new friends.

Student life is very good. The commute is not bad at all; it's just a short walk to the university from my private accommodation. The social scene is very good here, and everyone is active and eager to do better. The only thing that could be improved is the pricing of some accommodation.

University of Leicester

I really love going to uni here; student life is very social. I stayed in private accommodation not too far from the uni campus, and it was perfect for me, especially cost-wise. I think there need to be more non-clubbing events and more opportunities to meet people outside of nightlife and drinking, but I do love it!

It is very inclusive, with a lot of activities and help available if needed. The commute is not that long.

The perfect med school

(5)·By Eisa R·Medicine· Jun 2026
Medicine at Leicester is a great all-around place to study. You get to enjoy the social aspect of Leicester while being at a great medical school with just the right level of difficulty and workload. My accommodation is great; I have room service, enough space, and many amenities for a reasonable price. However, I personally don’t like my neighbours. The social scene is great. I go to the O2 quite regularly and enjoy the central city's restaurants and stores. My only problem is that I live 15 minutes away from university and I am always late.

It’s a solid university in a great city. It can be confusing at first, but it makes you feel at home.

My life at university!

(5)·By Adrial A·Marketing· Jun 2025
Student life is pretty great and I am thoroughly enjoying myself! The course is engaging but definitely challenging at times. There’s a lot of coursework, but I enjoy the subjects I’m studying. Some of the professors are amazing, while others could be a bit more engaging, but that’s just part of the experience.

The commute isn’t too bad; I’ve got a relatively short journey, so it’s manageable. Some days the public transport can be a bit hectic, but it's nothing too crazy. Accommodation-wise, I’m in university halls at the moment, and it’s convenient. It’s nice being close to campus, though the room is a little cramped, and I could definitely use more storage space.

The social scene is where things really shine. There are loads of clubs, societies, and events to get involved in, so it’s easy to meet people and make friends. The nightlife is buzzing too, which is perfect if you’re into that. I think what could be better is having more study spaces beyond just the library. It would be nice to have quieter spots around campus to focus or just relax.

All in all, it’s a fun time, and I’m really enjoying the experience so far!

University of Leicester Review

(5)·By Nida·Law· Jun 2025
The University of Leicester has truly become a place I love and appreciate. From the moment I started, I’ve felt supported, challenged, and inspired. The campus itself has a great atmosphere, and the sense of community among students and staff makes it feel like home.

My law course, in particular, has been an incredible experience. The lecturers are knowledgeable and passionate, always willing to help and push us to think critically. The course is structured in a way that balances theory with practical application, preparing us for real-world legal challenges. I’ve also had amazing opportunities to get involved beyond lectures, such as the Pro Bono Society and mock trials, which have deepened my understanding of the law and strengthened my skills.

Studying law at Leicester has not only shaped my academic journey but also given me confidence and direction for my future career. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!

Nothing is dull at the University of Leicester

(5)·By Louis K·Economics· Jun 2024
Studying at the University of Leicester has been a great experience so far. The city is very student-oriented, with shops, hair salons, restaurants, and other convenient places within walking distance, such as the City Centre. The social life in Leicester is never dull, and there is always something to do as the people here are great! The campus is picturesque and exudes a positive vibe, with places like the David Wilson Library containing a beautiful interior that makes you feel warm.
