You will have the expertise to shape the design of smart and sustainable buildings.<br/><br/>The MEng course will enable you to fulfil the academic requirements to register as a Chartered Engineer. It will enhance your ability to create detailed design proposals as part of a building design team and give you a deeper knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM), building physics and simulation theory.<br/><br/>Architectural Environment Engineers work with architects and other professionals to bring buildings to life. You’ll learn about renewable energy generation, smart controls, thermal comfort (heating, cooling and ventilation), the acoustics of spaces and lighting design.<br/><br/>Buildings are the world’s greatest energy users and because of this, our course has a strong focus on sustainability. You’ll become an engineer that can make a difference.<br/><br/>You will have access to excellent facilities including dedicated design spaces, workshops and research labs equipped with the latest renewable energy technologies.
