This course is offered as a degree with foundation year – a four-year programme which provides an additional foundation year at the beginning of the degree, that will give you academic and practical experience, as well as the skills you need to ensure you are equipped to successfully complete your chosen degree.

About this course

The UK film and screen industry reaches across streaming, television, film and social media. On our BA Film Production course, you will learn what goes into developing one of the largest and most successful industries in the world. You’ll study alongside some of the best film academics in the UK as you learn practical film production skills and the theory involved in audio-visual media that will help support your storytelling.

Skills

This course will allow you to explore the core competencies of producing film including screenwriting, cinematography, editing and post-production whilst sharpening your skills in critical analysis and research of the industry.

With an emphasis on the interdisciplinary approaches to digital film and storytelling, you will be encouraged to expand upon your creative ideas through practice-focused modules, workshops and technical demonstrations.
