BSc Nutrition and Health prepares you to address some of today’s most urgent global health challenges through the science of nutrition. Accredited by the Association for Nutrition (AfN), the course equips you with the knowledge, practical skills and professional credibility to promote health and help prevent disease at individual and community level.
You will explore the scientific links between nutrition, disease, treatment and prevention, while developing expertise in human nutrition, public health, laboratory practice and research. AfN accreditation means you can apply to join the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN) as a Registered Associate Nutritionist without additional assessments, supporting your professional progression.
What you’ll study
You will examine how diet influences health, growth and development across the lifespan, and how nutrition can be used to address inequalities and improve public health.
