(Our partners include; St George’s University Hospital, Croydon Health Services NHS trust and CSH Surrey). <br/><br/><br/>**About the course:** <br/><br/>Learn to provide outstanding care for children and young people and develop the skills and knowledge for a rewarding career in children’s nursing. Topics include: <br/><br/><br/>- Developing Professional Relationships in Nursing <br/><br/><br/>- Applied Human Biology for Nursing <br/><br/><br/>- Introduction to Public Health and Health Promotion <br/><br/><br/>- Complex and Critical Care for Children and Young People <br/><br/><br/>- Pharmacology and Medicines Management <br/><br/><br/>**Skills:** <br/><br/>Are you passionate about providing care for children from birth to adolescence? You’ll develop the expert knowledge and advanced practical skills to provide excellent care for children, young people and their families. These include:<br/><br/><br/>- The importance of placing equal value on both the physical and mental health of children <br/><br/><br/>- Understanding the importance of person-centred care, <br/><br/><br/>- The principles of caring for children and young people, <br/><br/><br/>- And understanding how to provide complex and critical care for children. <br/><br/><br/>**Career opportunities:** <br/><br/>Children’s Nursing at Roehampton will give you a strong foundation for your future nursing career. You will be able to work in a wide variety of roles in community nursing teams, GP surgeries, hospitals and more. Our aspiration is to educate nurses who will be highly sought after by employers, and for Roehampton nurses to become future leaders of the profession.<br/><br/>You’ll also spend a significant amount of time learning in our CSC where you’ll safely practise clinical skills with other students, service users, role players and hi-tech patient simulators under the guidance of experienced clinical and academic staff.
