Journalism, Year 3

Ah I feel terrible about this. I missed my fresher's week due to a family emergency. Honestly, I would do anything in this world to turn back time and attend the fresher's week. It was literally so amazing, and I feel so jealous of my classmates when they tell me stories about how they got to visit BBC and do other cool stuff.

It was an amazing experience and#x1f603;and#x1f603; I made tons of friends both through my course and accommodation and#x1f44d;and#x1f3fd; Would definitely recommend, one of the best universities going and#x1f44c;and#x1f3fb;and#x1f603; loads of accomondation available, Facebook pages to find friends on the same course as you and who live in the same accommodation, loads of events and societies to make friends and#x1f60a; The university is a good size, good library and all staff are really helpful and friendly!!

Biology / Biotechnology, Year 3

(5)·By Olga P·Biology· Jul 2021
It was really funny , full of activities Peel Park Campus was the best. Really nice rooms , organised and polite stafff The library offers a wide range of study spaces for every need. The classrooms were really nice and the sports areas are well organised The lectures were really nice. Face to face teaching helps better understanding and was better for asking questions Salford is a really small town but its so close to Manchester city center where there are so many opportunities for shopping ,restaurants ,activities and clubs

Other, Year 2

It is brilliant. As a 2nd year student I was able to choose the subjects that I have a keen interest in. The hours work around my medical circumstances and everyone is understanding and eager to help when necessary. Although I struggle socially I am loving my experience as a student in Salford.

Building / Construction, Year 3

Freshers week was insightive and gave us a good chance to see what we were getting ourselves into. Plus all the freshers weeks offers and activities made it fun. I dont use the accommodation myself. However my friends at university do seem to enjoy staying there and are having a good time. The library is good. I personally use the media city campus which is based in Salford Quays which means I can get a good walk with nice scenery by the Quays after a hard study session. Due to the current pandemic it has been hectic. However,it is getting easier as I am adapting to learn in the current environment City life is amazing. However I am going to be biased as I am a mancunian but it is full of vibrant people and has a lot of places to go and see. Its a very diverse city

I love my uni, everyone there is so lovely. I couldn't ask for better lecturers. They are always there when you need them and give you great advice when you need it most. I'm at the Media City campus in Salford Quays and the surrounding area is beautiful. So many different places to eat in such a short walking distance

History, Year 1

freshers week was fairly quiet for me however this is due to me living at home and having to travel to salford. i don’t stay in accommodation at salford however i’ve been in a friends accommodation room and it’s very good. facilities at salford uni are great, on site gym within walking distance of classes aswell as the SU bar which is modern and welcoming. fairly small sized groups help to encourage participation from all so nobody feels left out in seminar discussions. Manchester is a great city, plenty bars and of course the football teams both in fairly close proximity to salford uni. My course, Contemporary military and international history contains a broad variety of subjects from wars in the past but also security and counterterrorism in the modern day

Economics, Year 3

Good, met my coursemates on induction and went out with them and my new flatmates every night of the week Peel park was really spacious , a lot of natural light and allowed 8 of us to live together happily Facilities were kept clean and tidy, I used to play pool in the reception with my flatmates , the sports hall is out of date though so when training for the basketball team it was annoying Very easy to access the information and tutors were helpful with teaching harder concepts which were difficult to understand Manchester to me is the best city in England , loads of things to do being a student and to experience a diverse place with lots to give

Great fun got to meet a lot of new people Great place to be, great location as it is between the city centre and Trafford centre. AN amazing sociable location So much facilities to have access to which you need for university! The university is a great help any time they are needed Lectures are not too long and not too short just how I like it. They provide as much information and are a great help for my work study cases Very lively and amazing so much things you can do activity and food wise fits in well perfectly for uni experiences with new uni friends
