Amazing

(5)·By Danielle H·Law· Jun 2023
The university of Salford were amazing at helping me with my studies . The library was always well stocked ready for the exam season. The lecturers were approachable and easy to talk to . Every query was handled well and they ensured I felt at ease for all exams . Throughout covid the university made sure we all had extra support online and kept up with each lecture and seminar . Overall I picked the best university to study at.

Psychology, Year 1

It was amazing, met a lot of great people. Very clean, lovely staff and well equipped. Well equipped and the staff are lovely. Any issues are attended to. The modules are really interesting and the lecturers really know what they’re talking about. Very lively. If you were to study psychology, you need to be open minded and really want to learn about the subject

History, Year 1

(5)·By Ben W·History· Mar 2019
freshers week was fairly quiet for me however this is due to me living at home and having to travel to salford. i don’t stay in accommodation at salford however i’ve been in a friends accommodation room and it’s very good. facilities at salford uni are great, on site gym within walking distance of classes aswell as the SU bar which is modern and welcoming. fairly small sized groups help to encourage participation from all so nobody feels left out in seminar discussions. Manchester is a great city, plenty bars and of course the football teams both in fairly close proximity to salford uni. My course, Contemporary military and international history contains a broad variety of subjects from wars in the past but also security and counterterrorism in the modern day

Criminology, Year 2

Freshers week was so much fun!!!

The accommodation is very roomy and makes me feel so at home!

The facilities are really good especially quiz night at the SU, food is also amazing here!

The course is very intriguing and has many interesting lectures such as guest speakers and interactive quizzes.

The city is cool and the nightlife even better!

The course covers some sensitive topics and I feel you should have an open mind before beginning the course.

university of Salford

(5)·By Domna M·Zoology· Jun 2023
I have been studying in Salford for 3 years now i did foundation year and now i am on second year. Is a good university most of my modules are great foundation year helps refresh high school in Cyprus and greece and collage in uk. It give great opportunities on my course for placements. Professors are helpful and whatever you will need they are there to help even if you don't try as much. Only bad review is that in the laboratory practicals i have been doing 3 tears and they teached us 5 times how to ise a microscope rather than learning new techniques.
My course has many field trips which gives opportunities to meet people and get closer to professors that could teach you different things rather than lectures.
University facilities are clean and many study spaces. The lecture rooms can be considered a bit uncomfortable as the tables are a bit far away but everything else is great.
As for socialising there are toons of event each week societies and sport clubs you can get in.
Accommodation in the uk currently is expensive but I believe is worth it.

Chemistry, Year 4 Plus

(5)·By Eva R·Chemistry· Oct 2018
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of my years at Salford. I chose the course due to the homely feel of the university on the open day I attended while at sixth form. I definitely made the right decision and have had a perfect blend of work and play. I've helped set up a society in my final year which the university made so easy, and I'm confident that I am on track to achieve my goals of getting a first and becoming a secondary school teacher.

Law / Legal Studies, Year 2

(5)·By Holly J·Law· Jul 2021
Freshers week was great! I met so many amazing people from different courses and backgrounds, most of them i am still amazing friends with ! For 1st year you stay on campus, which is so good because lecture buildings are just a 5 minute walk away. Both buildings are beautiful and well kept, the rooms are spacious and so are the kitchen and dining areas. Personally i used the campus gym nearly everyday and it was always such a positive atmosphere. The library has 3 different floors, one for social work, one for independent work and one for group work. My lecturers were very interactive with lectures and seminars, meaning there was always something exciting going on or to look forward to in a lecture. This really helped us engage with the lecture and law is a rather lengthy subject Salford/Manchester are amazing cities with so much to offer. There are incredible parks, restaurants, night life, shopping and so much culture.
