It may also interest you if you are a mature applicant, with skills and experience from employment and can show recent study, or if you come from a part of the world where the education system is different from the British A level system. <br/><br/>Successful completion of the foundation year guarantees progression to the next stage of your degree. The year will develop your understanding of the principles on which the sciences are based and the mathematics underpinning these disciplines, and will enable you to apply scientific principles to solve problems. <br/><br/>Our audiology courses are carefully structured to give you a comprehensive clinical training from day one, while developing essential academic, professional and employability skills. Youll learn from practising clinicians and researchers at the cutting edge of audiology, at the only UK university with in-house audiology and auditory implant services.<br/><br/>On this course youll gain a comprehensive knowledge of audiology and the clinical and professional skills needed to become an audiology healthcare professional. Throughout the course, youll attend practical sessions in our dedicated skills laboratory, consolidating your skills during a 27-week placement, which starts at the end of year two and continues into year three.

International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP): The University of Southampton accepts the IBCP for entry to their degree programmes, recognising the value of combining academic skills with practical skills, providing a solid preparation for university level work. Offers will be made on the individual components of the IBCP. Applicants not taking the full IBCP but presenting with a combination of a Level 3 vocational qualification and IB Certificates may still be considered. Offers will be made on the individual Diploma Course subject(s) and the career-related study qualification. The CP core will not form part of the offer.
