Learn about life at all levels, from molecules and cells to whole organisms.<br/><br/>On this three-year Biology degree at the University of Southampton you will explore topics looking at species, communities and entire ecosystems to prime yourself for a broad choice of potential careers.<br/><br/>You will be taught by expert staff who are actively engaged in high-profile research, have the flexibility to tailor your degree through our extensive range of modules, and will be based in our state-of-the-art, multi-million pound Life Sciences building that houses plant growth, tissue culture, and invertebrate facilities.<br/><br/>You will gain extensive practical experience from a variety of field trips in the UK, Belize and Spain, can benefit from the close links we have with the nearby Marwell Wildlife organisation, can spend a semester studying at a university in Europe or Australasia, and can select a year in employment if you wish to gain experience in an industry setting.<br/><br/>We will also help you kick-start your career* in a variety of sectors including medicine, biotechnology, conservation and the environment.<br/><br/>*99% of Biological Sciences graduates were in employment or further study 15 months after graduation (Graduate Outcomes 2020/2021).
